We continue to keep you posted on the Great Tits which are nesting in a 'Bird-Box Near You'.
From the initial images of nest building, to the clutch of eggs (numbering 10) and to the detail of the adult bird eating the eggshells as a source of calcium, we report today that there are now just 5 Great Tit chicks in the Bird-Box.
Thus far, therefore, the survival rate has been 50%.
Ordinarily, chicks fledge within 3/4 weeks.
