If you go into the pharmacy on a regular basis you will know Helen Barlow- she has worked at the pharmacy for 20 years and is now retiring. She received a certificate and a badge from the company in recognition of her hard work.

She has been an important member of the team through all the difficulties of short staff, Covid and the changes in ownership of the pharmacy. She plans to have a rest and enjoy not waking up in the middle of the night worrying about things to do in the pharmacy- it is a pressured job. With the increase in elderly people living in the village – The Flacca and Gifford Lea bringing more people into the village alongside those of us who are growing older -the pressures have increased.
She said that apart from the pressure, she has enjoyed her time at the pharmacy and wanted to thank those who have used the pharmacy for their support.
Also Hollie Wood left last week.- so we need to be sympathetic with the new staff joining the team, who won't remember us like Helen did!
If you would like to sign a 'best wishes on your retirement card ' it will be in the post office from Wednesday.
