It's been a challenging year for growers and that means the competition at the Village Show will be more open than ever – and what that means is that it's well worth entering something that you think won't get anywhere. You really never know – and it's completely free to enter the classes!
Also this year we have a newly commissioned trophy for the best entry in the Veg section, in memory of the late Jim Harris. Come along and see it awarded for the very first time. Class entries 9.30-12 noon, open to the public 2.30pm. £1 entry for adults in the afternoon (kids free). Classes below:
Make sure you take a look at the schedule and think about what you might enter; if you do decide to enter please print of the schedule as only a few will be printed.
It is a difficult year for gardeners, which means anyone could win! But there are also plenty of other categories to enter- craft, photographs , art, cookery. The children's entries may absorb your child for a little while instead of looking at a screen!
