Tattenhall Garden Society Wednesday November 14th

Just in case you missed this the first time round.....

Come and find out about the brand new RHS garden being developed in the North West , due to open the first phase in 2020.

Marcus Chilton Jones is the new curator of the garden, and he will talk about this development of the largest gardening project in Europe!

Marcus Chilton Jones has had a varied horticultural career, working at the Dorothy Clive Garden for the last 8 years, previously working on other restoration projects, such as Trentham Gardens, he also worked on the garden at Berryfields, Monty Don's garden on Gardeners World.

It is an historic site, although most of the original plants and buildings have disappeared, however an ageing collection of pear and apple trees remain around the Walled Garden. There are mysterious tunnels under the northern boundary which will have to be investigated, they seem to be associated with a previous old Hall that had been pulled down.

Marcus keeps ducks as a hobby and says he is a duck watcher!

Wednesday November 14th 7.45 Barbour Institute High Street, Tattenhall CH39PX

Entry by ticket only. TGS members free, visitors £5.00.
