The beautiful village of Tattenhall in Cheshire
Louise Gibson: July 2015
Not to be outdone by the 175,000 festival goers who recently descended upon Glastonbury, Brownies from all over Cheshire were attending 'FABFEST 2015' and Tattenhall Brownies were in attendance! This was their very own music festival at the Cheshire Show-ground, near Tabley. In true festival 'vibe' they sported homemade tie-dyed t-shirts and other uniquely designed accessories to add to the cool festival look!
Tattenhall Brownies took part in a multiplicity of events, including a circus workshop where they rode unicyles, had plates spinning, learned how to juggle and walked on stilts!! They excelled at the coconut shy and took great delight in throwing wet sponges at their poor leader (the things we do for Girlguiding!!)
The evening Disco was a huge success and the DJ even took to the microphone to highlight how great our girls looked in their outfits. Tattenhall Brownies were certainly not shy and 'cut some shapes' on the dancefloor whilst certain leaders sang along to Katy Perry (badly!!).
With the coach returning to Tattenhall at 11pm, parents greeted exhausted and sleepy Brownies (NOT!). Instead, 27 brownies were still singing loudly as they pulled up to the Flacca — our apologies to local residents. The Brownies had a truly terrific time and when they are rocking out at Glastonbury in the future, we are sure that they will remember their 1st ever Festival at FABFEST with warm affection.
