Supporting Older People in our Community – 4 December, 10-12noon.

Christmas can be isolating for older people in any community and particularly in rural communities. For them it is so much more difficult to attend evening Lantern Parades or to attend Carol Services at St Alban's.

A team of volunteers in Tattenhall works tirelessly throughout the year to ensure that we support our older community members, that they are not isolated but are valued, and that they too are able to enjoy a full social life at our organised events.

Please drop in at the Barbour Institute on 4 December between 10-12noon and try to support us at OPAL (Older People Active Lives) (this is one of OPAL's principal fundraisers).

All we ask is that you join us for a cup of coffee/tea and a mince pie (how can you resist)! Entrance is £1. There will also be a raffle, tombola and bring and buy stall. This drop-in is always popular and the monies raised help us to fund our year's activities, guest speakers, outings etc.
