Cheshire Libraries are running a Summer Reading Challenge for children aged 4-11, encouraging them to read six books (or a set target) over the summer holidays, according to Cheshire West and Chester Council. Children can participate by signing up at their local library or online. The challenge is themed around nature and the "Story Garden".
Participation: Children can sign up at their local library or online. The challenge includes free rewards like stickers, a collector folder, and a medal and certificate for completing the challenge. Additionally, there are various library events and activities planned, including author visits, storytelling, and crafts.
In addition to the challenge, there are numerous free events and activities for children, including animal handling, guest storytellers, science workshops, and crafts. Adults can also participate in the "Adults Read Two" challenge, focusing on exploring two books.
