A successful show was held on Sunday 3rd September, over 200 people visited the show during the afternoon, showing how popular this village event is. And there was a lot going on in the village and surroundings this weekend. Thankyou to all who helped and those who came to support this village event.
It is a show for all ages, and all abilities. If you came and thought- Ooh I could have entered that class, then make a note- the show is usually held on the first Sunday of September. The full results will be found on the Tattenhall Garden Society Facebook page, but also on their website, when the data has been finalised( and the person doing this has returned from holiday!).The show in Tattenhall has been held since gthe 1920's with a lapse during the 1940's and 50's. It started as an agricultural show then gradually became more horticultural. It has changed over the years becoming more than that with its cookery, crafts, photography and art classes.
There were some gaps in entries into some classes – where are all those cooks and craft makers? Have we got the categories wrong? Would you like to see other classes and categories?
If you are interested in becoming part of the planning and organising of the show, then the current organising group would be very happy to have more help, and ideas. Some of the current organisers have been running it for a very long time, and nothing lasts forever. It needs a breath of fresh air, with new ideas: if you want to be involved contact Tattenhall Garden Society at tattenhallgdnsoc@gmail.com
