Cheshire West and Chester Council's collective energy switching scheme known as 'Ready to Switch?' is now taking registrations for the latest round.

The scheme is available for both credit and prepayment meters, it is free to register and there is no obligation to switch suppliers if the tariff offered doesn't better your current one.

CLICK HERE to register both your contact details and details of your annual energy consumption or call 01244 977262, before midnight on Monday 12 February.

Thousands of pounds have been saved by residents over the past few years. The average savings for dual fuel customers for the previous auction last October, were around £245. Households that have been with the same energy supplier for a number of years will probably find they are on more expensive rates.

All registrants will receive a personal offer by email or letter from February 26, and if you do decide to switch the whole process will be taken care of on your behalf. Even after registering there is no obligation to take it any further. The deadline for accepting an offer is Tuesday 27 March.

Collective switching works by the Council and other participating local authorities asking energy suppliers to compete with their most competitive price which is then offered to residents.

If you would like more information or don't have access to the internet but would like to register, please call 01244 977262 and leave a contact name and number and someone will return your call.
