U3A Walk 14th June

Below are the details of the next U3A walk organised by Jill Hughes.

The short walk on 14th starts at the Lockgate Coffee House CW6 9NJ in Beeston, through Tiverton across fields to Wharton's Lock then back via the canal. Flat, about 4 miles and 5 stiles some young cattle in one field who totally ignored us.

A table has been booked for refreshments at the Coffee House for after the walk, so please let me know by Tues if you want to be included.

From Tattenhall leave by Tattenhall Road, right into Huxley then right again at the tee junction. Continue to the end at Tiverton then turn right, Lockgate Coffee House is down the hill, a couple of hundred yards on the left on the A49 between the canal and railway line. Be aware if you are coming from anywhere else that it's the second day of Bolesworth Horse show, traffic round there may be heavy.

We plan to leave the car park behind Alison's Cafe by 9.40 and start walking from Lockgate at 10.00.
