REDROW has been pouring funds into Tattenhall causes and now the local Community Association has brand new teapots to use at its various events.

The housebuilder set up a community fund of £5,000 at the end of the summer and invited local causes to apply for a proportion of the funds. The lucky recipients were 10 local community groups, including the Tattenhall Community Association, who received £320 for the new teapots.

Carole Hornby, Secretary of the Association which is based at the Barbour Institute on the High Street, applied for a slice of the funds. "The teapots we were using had come to the end of their life and with all the events that are held in the village hall, it's essential that we can offer people a hot drink," she said.

"The Barbour Institute is the hub of the Tattenhall community so we're thrilled that Redrow chose us as one of the recipients of its fund. We now have lovely shiny new catering teapots to bring out at all of the events."

Jason Newton, Sales Director for Redrow Homes (NW), said: "It was a pleasure to be able to help out the community association. A village hall must have functional teapots and I'm sure our Redrow customers, not to mention our staff, will be popping around for a cuppa soon!"
