A terrific turnout from our Tattenhall Runners; after last year's huge commitment to both the London Marathon and to the Chester Half Marathon, we have been waiting to hear from you!
Disappointed we are not – congratulations to you all!
The City of Chester's 36th Half Marathon – a mere 13.1 miles – showcases everything that is perfect about the locality in which we all live.
There were some fantastic individual performances from the Tattenhall Running Club crew; Andy Sudlow's training is definitely paying dividends as Andy was the first Tattenhall runner to finish in an impressive 1:23:01, 36th in his category and 53rd overall which is no mean feat considering the starting blocks consisted of a total of nearly 5000 entrants!
Close on Andy's heels was Paul Shannon having only joined the Tattenhall Running Club within the last 12 months! Paul came an incredible 3rd in his age group with a chip time of 1:29:18.
Impressive running too from Rodney Jones 1:39:52, 21st in his age group, Martin Durrant 1:41:17, 14th in his age group – after cycling from Tattenhall to the start and after completing the half marathon, he was off on his bike again cycling back to Tattenhall!
Cheryl Rees 1:45:48, Owain Williams 1:56:24, Robert Webster 1:58:57, Laura Ashford 1:58:57, Sharon Basford 2:10:16, Gerry Cummins 2:22:57 and our new Club Members Caroline Papillon and Rebecca Atkinson were very impressive in their first Chester Half Marathon, achieving 2:15:22 and 2:32:56 respectively.
Tattenhall Online congratulates you all!
