Tattenhall Runners Christmas Handicap Race

If you see Duran Duran, Madonna or perhaps Rick Astley running through the village on Sunday morning, don't worry, you are not in need of new spectacles!

The Tattenhall Runners are holding their annual Christmas Handicap Race on Sunday 17th December.

The race will start from the Recreation Club on Field Lane, with competitors completing a 4mile course along Burwardsley Rd, Dark Lane, Bolesworth Road and the High Street back to the finish.

The first runner, predicted to be the slowest, will leave at 10-30am, with faster runners to follow, the aim being to get all runners across the finish line at the same time! The bulk of the competitors are likely to be running along the High Street between 11-11-30am.

The fancy dress theme for this year's race is "1980's Pop Stars", so be prepared for a variety of costumes, if last year's race is anything to go by....above is a group photo from 2016.
