Reception Class – a photographer from 'The Leader' newspaper called into school this week to take a class photograph of the Reception Class. We are looking forward to hearing more news from the newest pupils in the school, as they approach the completion of their first half term!

Sports News – Year 5/6 Tag Rugby Tournament Report by Team Captain Ewan Cawley: Bishop Heber held the Year 5/6 tag rugby tournament. We walked in very confident, and we were the only full year 5 team in the tournament. Our first match was against Shocklach. We showed excellent teamwork and some great footwork to pull off a 4-2 victory. Our next game was against Bickerton. We did lots of passing and kept possession for most of the game, which led us to a 3-1 win. Our last group was against Tushingham. We had already qualified to the semi-finals, so it didn't matter what the score was. Anyway we still played very strongly and we won 3-1. We were in the semi-final match and were against Clutton. Despite an outstanding team performance, we sadly lost 4-2 but walked off with our heads held high.

And finally, what TPPS pupils have been up to this week – Year 6 Roman Experience Trip
As part of this term's study of The Romans and their impact on Britain, Year 6 visited Chester on Monday this week. They took part in a boat cruise to explore the history along the River Dee followed by a Soldier Patrol and Roman Dewa experience. As soldier recruits they had the opportunity to form a testudo, visit the amphitheatre, defend the walls and prepare for battle. Through these activities they learnt more about health, hygiene and medicine, pottery, archaeology and Roman artefacts.

Thankyou to all at TPPS, especially Mrs Hawkins. Here at tattenhall.org, we love hearing your 'Outstanding' news!
