Stuart Sadler won the toss and bowled at high flying Barrow as Andy Styan claimed the prize scalp of Iro DeSilva clean bowled fifth ball for a great start as Barrow were reduced to 33-4 and looking vulnerable. They were saved by a valuable partnership between Dwyer (34) and Ryan-Beswick which put on 82. Mel Dobson was able to pick up regular wickets and finished with 5-44 but a late spurt by Ryan Beswick saw him get to a fine 93 and Barrow finish on 191ao.
Coppack fell in the first over of the reply and Prince was also beaten for pace from Johnson. Sadler was struggling to find a partnership in the middle order. Dearling and Gibbon (31) looked to get close to the Barrow total but Tattenhall fell 29 runs short as they were bowled out in the 47th over, still 29 runs short of victory.
Tattenhall will be looking to get back to winning ways at Alvanley this weekend as the second team entertain Marple at the Flacca.
The match starts at 1pm and all visitors are welcome.
