The company, Pura, which is headquartered in Tattenhall, was set up in June 2020 by local couple Guy and Abi Fennell, and markets eco-friendly wipes and nappies and campaigns for a ban on plastic in wipes, and is also pioneering nappy recycling in the UK.
The firm has partnered with MLA College to offer distance learning for an MSc Sustainability in Practice (designed for senior to mid-management level), with first enrolments in September 2022. Each scholarship is worth £5,750, bringing the total value of the scholarships to £57,500.
The college is specifically looking for leaders, managers and individuals in charge of teams or workplace sustainability who are eager to learn, develop and drive organisational change.
The course involves a 12-month research project that will explore participants' workplace or community challenges relating to sustainability and ask them to create viable solutions.
The programme is supported by the United Nations and students are encouraged to consider at least one of the Sustainable Development Goals as part of their project.
Anyone interested in the scholarship should contact MLA college directly on 0203 997 7555 or email info@mla.ac.uk
It is fantastic when something so local takes a huge step in developing schemes and solutions to an issue that affects us all – right across the planet. Well done Abi and Guy! Well done Pura!
