The beautiful village of Tattenhall in Cheshire
Arts: April 2017
Coming to the Barbour Institute, Rural Touring Arts are proud to present their first show of their Spring 2017 programme, Salaam.
Tickets are now available for the performance on Friday 21st April, 2017 at 7.30pm.
'Salaam', meaning 'peace', is Sonia Sabri Company's latest stunning creation, originally created in response to the unrest around the world. It aims to refocus and reminisce on all that is good. This double-bill programme weaves a dialogue between live music and Kathak dance, which embraces a rich joyful spirit and builds to a heart-pounding rhythmic crescendo.
"A dynamic performer with her own spin on the Indian classical tradition...makes you live it in the here and now" — Metro.
Suitable for all ages, tickets are limited to ensure everyone has a good view. Price = £9.50 each from Tattenhall Post Office and Jill at The Studio. Telephone 01829 771374 or book online by clicking here.
On the same day, Sonia Sabri is offering a free, adult (18+) dance workshop from 2pm to 3pm at The Studio, Tattenhall.
To book a place, telephone Cheshire Dance on 01606 861770 only. Booking essential.
