Not content with being the principal sponsor for Tattenhall's Charity Beer Festival in October, REDROW is launching a special community fund in Tattenhall and is inviting groups and organisations to place their bids for a share of the £5,000 pot.

From schools to scout packs, and sporting groups to wildlife projects, the award-winning builder is on the lookout for ways to offer a helping hand in the area.

Redrow is currently building a collection of beautiful two, three, four and five-bedroom homes at Meadow Brook in Tattenhall, near Chester, following the outstanding success of its Chestnut Grange venture in the village.

Jason Newton, Sales Director for Redrow Homes (NW), said: "We could just create new homes and leave it at that, but if we really want to help build communities, which we do, we need to help those people at the heart of them.

"The groups that children go to and grow in, the projects which make life better for people living there, they are the fundamental building blocks of any neighbourhood. We value the bonds we forge with the different areas in which we build which is why we are very much looking forward to helping those in Tattenhall."

Jason continued: "Over many years we have offered much-needed funding to hundreds of projects, big and small, all over the country, and so we are eager to find more community groups, sports clubs and charities in Tattenhall with whom we can find new ways to make a difference."

With this in mind, Redrow is inviting people to suggest groups or organisations that they think it might be able to help with and it will aim to provide assistance where it can – be it funding a new kit for the local footie team or a new kettle for the WI!

Redrow has set a budget of £5,000 and, because it wants to support as many local groups as possible, would prefer to give smaller amounts to more, rather than larger amounts to a few.

"We're interested to hear what people need and how it will make a difference," added Jason.

Those wishing to nominate a project for Redrow to consider should email redrow@activepr.co.ukredrow@activepr.co.uk with contact details and a summary of the project by September 30, 2017.
