Many of you have contacted us, telling us how you value the summary of 'Dates for your Diaries'.

So, here goes ... this is not exhaustive and does not necessarily include the day-to-day events that appear on the Calendar but in date order ...

A new initiative has appeared on our Calendar – 'Rhyme Time' at Tattenhall Library. The next session is on Tuesday 26 January at 2.30pm. Thereafter, please check our 'What's on Calendar'.

Pantomime season is upon us as TAD's celebrates its 20th anniversary. There are varying performances throughout 28/29/30 January – performance times are shown on our 'What's on Calendar'.

Nettle is promoting 'Shake up your Wake Up' and they invite you to share breakfast with them between 10am-12noon on Friday 29 January with complimentary coffee or tea and some tasty breakfast treats! How can your resist.

Film Night at the Barbour Institute is on Wednesday 3 February with the showing of 'A Royal Night Out' (Cert 12A). The doors open at 7.30pm and this is a 'must see' as Her Majesty the Queen approaches her 90th birthday.

Tattenhall's fantastic Country Market has had a well earned rest over the Christmas and New Year period but they will be back in full swing from Friday 5 February. However, please note the changed timings of 9.30am – 11.15am

Pancake Races will be held on Church Bank on Tuesday 9 February at 3.45pm – make sure you bring your own frying pan and pancake – doubtless there will be a riot of laughter!

On Friday 12 February, Inspired Villages is hosting a culinary extravaganza with Master Chef Brian Mellor creating some 'romantic treats' – what else would you expect with Valentine's Day and a Leap Year rolled into one – please book early (see story in Latest News).

On Valentine's Day itself (14 February), The Tattenhall Music Society brings you another spectacular concert with the English National Opera Singer Alison Dunne and members of the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra – this takes place at St Alban's at 6.30pm.

U3A hosts what we expect to be a fascinating talk on the 'Vice Squad' on 18 February at 2.00pm.

Just a final reminder – Defibrillator Training restarts on 27 February.
