Tattenhall Resident: September 2017
Same old, same old .... some of you say.
And, this is NOT directed at the responsible dog owners in our village, but (as was predicted) dog fouling is now evident in the new Playground (see letter and image from a Resident below).
Same old, same old .... some of you say.
Litter everywhere, not least because the bins in the Playground are overflowing. The activity on Facebook confirms that very kindly some residents have been picking up chip wrappers, sweet wrappers, bottles, cans and ice cream cartons and, thoughtfully, leaving new black sacks for use on the site. Having attended the September PC meeting, it was evident that members of the PC have also kindly assisted in dealing with the litter and that they are in discussions to ensure that the bins are emptied regularly.
Same old, same old .... some of you say.
Disregard (by some) for the new equipment, not least because swings have been wrapped up around the frames and are out of reach and some youngsters have actually been observed sitting on the top of some of the new equipment.
We print below a letter and images sent in from a Tattenhall Resident ....
On Sunday morning at about 10.30am I took visiting members of my family and grandchildren down to the new Playground on the Park only to find that someone had left a most unwelcome gift on the zip wire runway.
Please see the attached photos.
It was quiet at the Playground but if the weather improves, it will be very busy and you may get similar photos submitted to Tattenhall Online.
I just do not understand the mentality of some inconsiderate dog owners.
There is only one sign on the playground prohibiting dogs. Perhaps we need them on every pathway leading to the playground.
Time to highlight this event on Tattenhall Online.
ParkFest — the official opening of the Playground takes place on 10 September — we will keep you updated and the poster relating to this can be found in Editor's Picks.
In the meantime, let's all take pride in this terrific new feature in the village and, importantly, enjoy it!
