The magic of Christmas came alive for many children in Tattenhall when Father Christmas popped in the Barbour Institute on Friday. Inside his enchanting grotto and, ably assisted by his Chief Elf, excited children had a chance to talk to the man himself and everyone left with a special early present.
Meanwhile downstairs the adults were also able to enter into the Christmas spirit with a particularly tasty mulled wine whilst browsing the fabulous range of crafts and gifts available in the festive market.
With everyone's favourite Christmas music playing the evening finished with the drawing of the raffle for a luxury hamper filled with festive treats. All proceeds, £283.00, from the raffle and mulled wine will be split between the Barbour Institute and a recycling bin for the new play area.
It was great to see so many people supporting the event and all the children had an amazing time. A huge thanks to everybody involved and, of course, a special thanks to Santa.
Merry Christmas!
