If you are interested in protecting and encouraging wildlife in your garden – this is the opportunity to learn how best to do it. Andy Jennings – Giles  from Plant life 0- a nation al organisation, is giving a talk on Wednesday 22nd at 7pm in the Barbour Institute . This is to encourage people to take part in. The No Mow May competition- it says No Mow May- but of course it is best to leave the wildflowers and grasses until they have set seed and can then be cut down.

It’s tricky in a small garden when we are used to tidiness- but just imagine having a garden that is attractive to the hedgehogs that seem to wander around at least one part of the village, or have butterflies and bees flying around.
