The Tattenhall Music Society programme organisers excelled themselves yet again with another wonderful concert in St Alban's Church on Sunday night.
The evening comprised 6 musicians, 4 instrumentalists drawn from Manchester and London orchestras, a pianist and a mezzo soprano, all of whom entertained the large audience with a variety of musical works. These ranged from well-known pieces by Elgar, Chopin and Saints-Saens, through to Kreisler, Campion, Rossini chamber music and a Verdi contemporary, Bottesini. Then there was Schubert, The Trout Song, followed by the famous Trout Quintet.
The performers introduced each of the pieces, adding to the audience's enjoyment of a marvellous musical
evening.
Next up, Sunday 13 March at 6.30pm, when the highly regarded pianist, Steven Osborne, will return to play for us. Each of his previous visits has been a delight. He plays in Tattenhall, as part of a busy international concert schedule, so do come along.
