7 Mile U3A Walk on Thursday 27th April

Our U3A walk this Thursday 27 April, is a 7 mile circular walk which takes approximately 3 hours and involves Caldy Hill, Thurstaston and the Wirral Way.

It is a moderate walk with only one stile, no livestock in the fields, and 2 short easy climbs from which you are rewarded with excellent views.

We had a very nice lunch in the Cottage Loaf Pub during our trial walk – it offers a good menu at reasonable prices.

We suggest meeting at the Cottage Loaf Pub car park, complete the walk, and then back to pub for lunch at about 1.45pm.

There are toilets en route and some nice cafes to stop for drinks and snacks.

Meet at the back of Alison's cafe ready to leave at 9.15am or meet in the Cottage Loaf Pub car park for 10.00am.

Travel on M53 and turn off at junction 4.
Take the A5137 to Heswall – you will come to a roundabout with a Shell garage, the Gregg Arms and the Devon Doorway pub.
Take 'Telegraph Road' to Heswall.
Follow signs for Wirral Country Park. Look out for the Cottage Loaf Pub on the left hand side (on Telegraph Road). Postcode for Sat Nav is CH61 OHJ
