Litter Part 2 – The Only Cure For Litter is Us!

Another week ... another bag of litter on a short walk throughout the village.

Worryingly this week:

• The 'Pod' opposite the Primary School and the adjacent pavement were scattered with shards of broken glass
• The pavement from the Village Surgery to the Pod was littered with 10 NITROUS OXIDE (presumably used) canisters – nitrous oxide is becoming an increasingly popular way for people to get high in the UK, with tell-tale canisters littering street corners all over the country – not least here in Tattenhall! This product is also known as laughing gas or 'hippy crack'.
• Empty beer cans, empty water bottles, sweet wrappers, empty crisp packets and a number of business cards were also collected throughout the walk

Quite what does it take to shame individuals into action.

-As children we were taught by our parents to take your rubbish home. The lack of care and respect these days is disgusting

-'Beggars belief' – is an appropriate phrase. How hard is it to clear up after yourself? Or to teach a child to do it?
