Henry Dobson selected for North of England

Tattenhall CC's Henry Dobson is forging a formidable reputation in both senior league cricket and junior county cricket and has been selected to play for the North of England.

Last weekend saw him score 160 runs. He plundered 75 for Tattenhall's first team as they chased down 181 in what was a crucial victory over local rivals, Christleton.

On Sunday Henry travelled to Castleford, where Cheshire U15s faced Yorkshire and the youngster's runs once again made all the difference. With 170 required for victory, Henry notched 85 not out in very quick time to see Cheshire to an emphatic eight wicket victory.

Henry and his fellow all-rounder and Tattenhall teammate, Ben Gibbon, have both caught the eye of North of England U15 selectors. More outstanding performances will stand them in good stead for further representative honours and we wish them the very best of luck.

The club and the village can be very proud of two of its excellent young cricketers.
