The beautiful village of Tattenhall in Cheshire
Green Dog Walkers' Group: March 2019
Children at Tattenhall Park Primary School were invited to produce posters advertising the Green Dog Walkers' code and we were delighted to receive over sixty.
Many of these posters will be seen around the village this week, asking people to join the scheme and to remember their biodegradable bags when out walking with their dogs.
All the children who entered a poster will be given a prize by CWAC's dog warden when they visit the school.
The three winning posters are featured to the right (click on each image to enlarge) and from this morning, some posters will be advertising the scheme throughout the village — see if you can spot your poster! It will also be possible to view all the posters on the Parish Council Website — we will supply the link directly they are uploaded.
We hope that everyone owning a dog will join the Green Dog Walkers' scheme and agree to the rules, to pick up after their dogs and to carry extra bags for other dog walkers who may have forgotten their own bags.
Everyone who joins the group will be given a luminous green tag to put on their dog collar and a packet of biodegradable poo bags. The bags, donated by CWAC, are also being placed on the dog bins around the
village. Full bags can now be placed in ANY bin.
The tags have been paid for by the Business Alliance, Bolesworth Estate and the Parish Council all
of whom are very supportive of the scheme.
It will be possible to join the group TODAY Saturday 23rd March between 9.30-11.30am in Alison's cafe . There is also a link on our Parish Council Website CLICK HERE.
After this it will be possible to sign up at the Post Office or Tattenhall News.
Please let us clean up our village as it is never pleasant to tread in dog poo and it can be the cause of health problems for people and livestock.
