We all know the exceptional landscape and scenic qualities of the Cheshire Sandstone Ridge and how beneficial getting outdoors can be for mental health and well-being.
Film crews have used the Ridge to its full potential in recent years with filming of The Great British Dig at Beeston Castle Roundhouse (Channel 4); Britain's Best Walks with Julia Bradbury (ITV); Gardeners World featuring two episodes here on the Ridge at Broxton and Beeston (BBC2); Free Rein (Netflix); Cold Feet (ITV); Home Fires (ITV); Foyle's War (ITV) and The Bridge filmed on the Bolesworth Estate.
And now Clare Balding has been enjoying the Cheshire Sandstone Ridge too, walking parts of the Sandstone Trail.
The BBC RADIO 4 Programme which is part of the 'Ramblings' series, during which Clare Balding joins notable and interesting people for a walk through the countryside, will be broadcast on Thursday, 21 September, at 15.00hrs on BBC RADIO 4.
