The walk this week is approx 6 miles with 4 stiles and no cows!!
This week's U3A Walk will be from Bersham where we will follow the river Clywedog along a very good path (lovely at this time of year with bluebells and wild garlic) to Nant Mill visitor centre, where we may be able to get coffee.
From there we carry on up the river, a gradual climb, still on a good way marked trail, to the old Minera Lead Mines. There are picnic benches here where we can eat our lunch.
We then return down the other side of the valley to Nant Mill, and from there take the same path back to Bersham.
Directions
* From the Gresford Interchange take the A483 Wrexham Bypass towards Oswestry.
* Exit at junction 4 signed A525 Ruthin.
* Turn left at the lights and then an immediate right signed Bersham.
* At the T junction in Bersham turn right, go under the bypass and park on the left beside the river.
I suggest we either meet there at 10am or behind Alison's at 9.20am and please remember to bring a packed lunch.
Please confirm to me if you are coming and where you will be joining us.
It is important that we know who is coming, so we can notify you of any change of plans.
