Playground Committee: November 2016
Last month we reported extensively on the Playground Update and the monies that are being raised by the Committee. We are also promoting the Ceilidh fundraising initiative which will be held on 26 November, in support of the Playground.
Importantly, however, the Committee has now applied for £25,000 grant funding to pay for landscaping, drainage and footpaths.
Illingworth Seddon, as an independent IFA, has submitted the bid on behalf of the Committee.
The bid is online, supported by local photographs and a low budget blockbuster video entitled 'Who will stop the rain?'. Take a look at the video, in particular, in which our youngsters take on the role of Safety Officers!!
Since 'Aviva' award grants to those initiatives which receive the most votes or which capture the attention of the judges, then is it vital that we all vote in support of this campaign.
To vote you need to register and you will then receive 10 votes — without undue influence, the Playground Committee would love to receive all of your 10 votes!. So far we have 1,368 votes in support of this project.
