The Cheshire Art Hub is all set to celebrate its landmark 1st Anniversary on Thursday 14 December with Christmas Drinks, Mince Pies and Live Music – it hardly seems possible!
So, a quick round up of 'A Year in the Life' of the three family businesses wrapped up in the idyllic location that is 'Mickerloo Barn' on the Sandstone Ridge.
Talented and enthusiastic artist, Loren Somerville, has worked tirelessly to identify emerging artists who have showcased their work within her unique gallery space.
The Cheshire Art Hub has been just that, a hub in which to showcase and support talent and local talent too! Whether it be art or handmade gift-ware, sculptures and exceptional jewellery, it is showcased to good effect in this delightful gallery.
Workshops too have been a regular feature of The Cheshire Art Hub with fantastic days out and great reviews. A full list is available to view – there is literally something for everyone and they continue into Christmas and the New Year.
A highlight of their first year, of course, was the Sandstone Ridge Festival and their very own Summer Art Exhibition. As Loren said .... 'it was a privilege to be involved with such inspirational individuals and to be the festival base during its first year ...'.
In October, The Cheshire Art Hub was delighted to be featured in a three-page article within Cheshire Life; quite definitely a box ticked! '... We were humbled by your very positive comments and for that we thank you – praise indeed ...'.
Their first year has not only been a success for Loren in fulfilling her ambitions and dreams but it has been of equal success for her family too. The Cheshire Art Hub is very much a 'family affair' with Loren's sister-in-law, Bex Millington, developing her business 'Millie's Prints' in which she provides scanning and fine art canvas and paper prints for a variety of local artists. Loren's father too is owner of 'Harthill Framing', offering a bespoke framing service. This member of the Webteam can pay tribute to his skills in providing all the advice in framing a much treasured piece of work.
So what next you ask? As the colours of spring emerge from their winter retreat high on the Sandstone Ridge, The Cheshire Art Hub will open its very own cafe within the gallery where you can relax and enjoy both the gallery and the landscape combined. Whether it is morning coffee, afternoon tea or a relaxing glass of wine, we will welcome you to our gem on the Ridge.
'...Our thanks to you all for your fantastic support and please drop in on 14 December to join in our celebrations (you might even find a last minute Christmas gift) – we look forward to seeing you ...'.
