Window Decoration to Commemorate D-Day Anniversary

Rhoyda's Window has been decorated to commemorate the 80th Anniversary of D-day.

Several villagers have kindly lent items relevant to the Second World War and D-Day to create this small exhibition.

It isn't the easiest space to use and Rhoyda's experience was invaluable. Hopefully people will find the local information of interest and the personal reports of D-day will enable people to see the horrors of war. It was considered to be a successful operation but many people lost their lives and it is good to remember what they did so there could be peace.
