What a difference a month makes

With a month under our belts, a moment of reflection on the new 'Tattenhall Online' Website.

Statistics reveal that since our official launch on 1 July we have had a total of 6,907 visitors to the site, looking at an amazing 19,249 stories.

Some of those stories have received an astonishing number of 'hits' – the potential closure of our High Street Post Office received over 900 hits whilst the stories that we ran on the plight of school children using the bus to Bishop Heber School and then the 'U' turn by the Council received 534 hits.

Stories relating to The Park Primary School have obviously been really popular with our much loved new resident 'Seymour' being a true favourite, together with the end of term 'Beach Party' on the Flacca.

We have covered some amazing sports features. Sprinter (Shannon Malone) who was recently triumphant in the 4x100m European Junior Championships in Sweden was actually trained here in Tattenhall (279 hits). Our very own Rob Pearson and Bala Town's footballing exploits in European competition, were also very popular stories (634 hits), as was Henry Dobson's selection for the North of England Junior Cricket (202 hits) Our match reports from our hallowed cricket ground at The Flacca, the spiritual home of Sport Tattenhall, have also been very favourably received.

We have also covered diverse issues such as: a local barn fire and road closure; Tattenhall as a Sandstone Ridge village, our flying clergy; the visit of our local MP; the launch of both the newly renovated Ice Cream Farm and the Frog Lane Retirement Village, exciting job vacancies as well as musical, artistic and literary extravaganzas, the list goes on!
