Well Pharmacy Meet the new Pharmacist

Welcome to the new pharmacist.

Ally is the new Well Pharmacy pharmacist, in Tattenhall, she has been here for nearly 6 weeks now. She  moved here from spending 5 years at a pharmacy in Chester. Living in Huxley, this is her local pharmacy, so she was very pleased to get the job when it was advertised and she is enjoying  the easy commute to work, She intends to stay in the job.  She is enjoying running a village pharmacy. She found that although they do not give out as many prescriptions as her job in Chester,  more people come in to the pharmacy, so it is a busy place.

Ally was aware when she took the job that there had been some difficulties and issues with the pharmacy, but she is slowly working her way through these. She now has a team of staff who are working better together. She has met with the surgery and now has a good working relationship with the new team at the surgery. She was very pleased to find that if she needed to talk to someone on the phone at the surgery they would either be there or get back to her as soon as possible. This was not her previous experience in Chester.

Ally wants to develop the pharmacy service  and to make residents in Tattenhall  more aware of the help  and treatments  they will be able to provide. They can actually treat conditions like tonsillitis and shingles, they can give advice about other conditions and direct people to the best options for treatment. Ally sees the pharmacy as very much an integral part of the NHS.

Alongside this, currently they are very busy with Covid and Flu vaccinations. With these you can walk in and request one – you might have to wait depending how busy the pharmacy is, or you can book an appointment. These will be tailing off soon so they will be a little less busy.
