Our Armistice Projects are all complete in readiness for the Armistice Centenary weekend of events.

Our community has risen to the multiplicity of challenges presented by these projects and we are set to mark this significant historical event with a variety of celebrations and lasting legacy projects.

What makes Tattenhall so special is how our community transforms a vision into a reality.

The lasting legacy projects featured today are testimony to that; all of which will be 'unveiled' on Saturday 10 November at 1.00pm

  • You mentioned that you wanted a point of quiet reflection and Thom Morton has kindly sponsored the installation of two commemorative seats, now located at the War Memorial. We are equally indebted to Bolesworth Estate who have been instrumental in fixing the seating to meet all safeguarding issues. The wooden seating is identical to that which is located on the community playground and the wood will bleach beautifully so as not to detract from our Grade II listed Memorial itself.
  • You have been keen to archive the history of Tattenhall in one place, most notably in your contributions to the Tattenhall Local History Website. Our new historical interpretation panel (funded by Tattenhall Parish Council), and it's positioning opposite the Memorial, will serve to remind everyone of the unique contribution of Tattenhall people in The Great War. In addition to this, a new historical trail pamphlet has also been created (funded by Redrow), providing a seamless understanding of life in Tattenhall in 1914-1918.

Refreshments will be available in the Barbour Institute following the cutting of the ribbons!!

We look forward to seeing you.
