I'd like to thank everybody that has contributed to putting smiles on the faces of people in what I can only describe as a drastic scene of terrified people and children, people that like you and me had a home, a job, a life – and in the space of 2 weeks have a suitcase with their whole lives in it.
It really is the most horrendous scene I have ever witnessed.
I would like you all to think of trains pulling in every 2 hours with 3000 people, dogs, and cats not knowing where to go or how to get there. The Polish police, fire brigade and medical staff, along with the volunteers from across the world, are doing a incredible job,
The cuddly toys and balloons are definitely winners, you can also see one of the shopping trips I've been on with the very kind donations.
I can't stress enough that this is a disaster area, and we must not stop helping.
Thank you, Lloyd
