U3A Walking Group : Thurs 12 March

No pictures taken on our last walk, sorry.

This shorter walk is being led by Viv; meet at Alison's at 9.15 or the Helsby Quarry car park, Alvanley Rd Helsby WA6 9PU (map ref. SJ491749, explorer 267) at 9.45 to start walking at 10.00am

Take the road into Helsby and just past the Shell garage on the right as you enter Helsby, turn right, follow the signs to the car park, or you can approach from the other side of Helsby.

The circular walk is 4 miles long and took 2 1/2 hrs. The path is steep in places, and muddy in parts! We can stop for a snack and have lunch around 1.15 at the Horns mill pub Helsby.

Viv will book the pub for 1.15, no menu choices needed, but let me (Jill ) Have Numbers by Tues, so I can pass them on to Viv. Please let me know if you can come, where you will meet, and if you plan to stay for lunch – at jillhug@hotmail.co.uk
