Below are the details of our next walk, to be led by Janet W at Whitegate.
We will leave either in the car park behind Alison's on Thursday 26th April at 9.15 or St Mary's Church at 10.00.
We can arrange on the day, to meet somewhere for refreshments after the walk, maybe The Hollies if you want to?
Start time 10am
Finish approx 2.30pm
Distance 7 miles – I can shorten the walk if the weather is dreadful or if all group members wish.
Easy – flat walk – couple of stiles
Boggy in places
Location -park and start in the drive opposite St Mary's Church Whitegate, Cinder Hill, Northwich CW8 2BH – the old Vale Royal Drive. Parking is under the trees through the entrance. DO NOT put the new postcode for Vale Royal Drive in your SATNAV as this will take you to the golf course.
Please DO NOT park in the area in front of the church/school as this will cause a problem if the church is in use and pickup from school.
Route – We walk across the fields to Foxwist Green then down to Martonsands and head for the Whitegate Way. We will leave the Whitegate Way for a short trip across Knights Grange Golf Club and through the woods to rejoin shortly before the end at the Salt Mine, Winsford.
We then walk towards the canal and take this route until Hartford Bridge returning through the woods and fields to Whitegate- via the edge of the Vale Royal Golf Club.
No toilets
No Café at the start or finish
Please bring drinks and lunch with you.
Parking is free.
