The beautiful village of Tattenhall in Cheshire
Jill Hughes: March 2019
Details of the next U3A short walk are published below:
This walk at Whitegate is 3 miles with a mix of fields, woodland and river and will take approximately 2 hours. There are no stiles and there was no livestock during the 'recce'.
Refreshments will be available at the Station House Cafe afterwards and they would appreciate numbers, so please let me know in advance and during Tuesday would be really helpful.
I suggest meeting behind Alison's to leave at 9.30am or meet in Whitegate at 10.00am if you are making your own way there.
- Follow the A49 north to the traffic lights and turn right for Winsford on the A54.
- Turn left at the brown 'Whitegate Way' sign, Clay Lane, and continue straight ahead following the signs to Whitegate.
- In Whitegate, on the bend by St Mary's Church, CW8 2BH turn right opposite the Church into Vale Royal Drive and park.
- Please let me know if you can come, where you will meet us and whether you would like refreshments.
