U3A Walk-Thursday 12th September

By popular request another walk on the Shropshire Mosses outside Whitchurch, starting at 10.30 on Thursday from Morris's Bridge car park. Meeting in the village at 9.45.

The walk is flat, about 4 miles, with no stiles or animals, and goes along tracks and the canal through beautiful open countryside.

To get to the start point, go south on the A41 and turn right on the Whitchurch by-pass. At (next) Esso/Starbucks roundabout go right on A525, take Ellesmere turn on A495 and then follow brown signs for the mosses. Have faith and keep going. The right hand turn for Morris's Bridge will eventually appear. Go down the lane (watch out for the big bump) and across the lift bridge over the canal. The newly mown and tidied car park is on the left.

The plan is to have refreshments afterwards at the lovely Alderford Lake café and a table is booked for 1.15.
