U3A Walk

Our U3A walk on 9th February is the Gwersyllt and River Alyn circular walk which is 4 miles long, with some tarmac, some mud, several styles and some steep inclines BUT no farm animals (we think)!

The walk starts at Alyn Waters Country Park, Mold Rd, Wrexham LL11 4AG – Grid Ref. SJ 319 546.

Take the road to Holt and Farndon, then Wrexham bypass to the next junction '5', signed for the A541 to Mold, (where you get off for Sainsbury's) and then take the right turn to Mold.

The Country Park is on the right about 3 miles north of Wrexham; I think you can follow the brown and white signs.

We plan to leave the carpark behind Alison's at 9.30am or start the walk at the Alyn Country Park at 10.00am.

There is plenty of free parking, toilets and a lovely cafe, so we could just take a drink with us and stop for a snack at the cafe if desired.

Remember, you don't have to be a U3A member to join us for a couple of trial walks but after that, we do ask you to join the group.
