U3A Walk February 2020

Below are some pictures taken on our last walk, around Chester, and details of our next short walk, being led by Teresa. It was difficult for her to find a suitable walk in these muddy conditions but she did it. The walk has no mud, stiles, or animals.

The walk on Thursday 13th February is a flat 3-3.5 mile walk around part of Shocklach village with lovely views of the Welsh hills (weather permitting!) and the tiny 12th century church of St Edith's – to which I have gained access for our visit. Back in time for lunch at The Bull where there is ample parking space for us.

Shocklach is approx 11 miles from Tattenhall. Using the A41 south take the 3rd exit at Broxton roundabout onto the Broxton Road A534 for approx 3.7 miles. Turn left onto B5069 for approx 3.4 miles turn left at The Bull car park is then next left.

It is planned to leave the car park at Alison's by 9.45 am to commence our walk at 10.15 am. The postcode for the Bull is SY14 7BL.

As the Bull uses fresh ingredients, they have asked for our numbers for lunch, and for our menu choices, by Tuesday evening please. The menu is on their website : Thebullatshocklach.com (this might take time to load). If you send these to me, I will pass them on.
