U3A Short Walk on 8th August

Here are the details of the walk this week.

From West Kirby a flat walk of about 4 miles across wet sand to Hilbre Island.

Directions: M53 to Junction 3. Turn L onto A552 heading to Arrowe Park.
At traffic lights straight ahead (get into R hand lane) into Arrowe Park Rd, past the hospital.
At roundabout take 2nd Left (first is a supermarket) onto Upton By-pass.
Straight over next roundabout. At traffic lights turn L onto B5192 (Saughall Massie road)
Straight over next roundabout
At T junction turn R onto B5139 Blackhorse Hill.
At next T junction turn R onto A 540
Continue down and turn L into Dee Lane sign post for Marina, opposite Barclays Bank.
Enter Morrison's on L and turn R immediately into pay & display car park- £1.10 for 2 hours/£1.40 for 3 hours
Alternatively from Chester take the A540, Parkgate road all the way (fighting your way through Heswall etc)

We have booked the Cottage Loaf at Thursaston on the A 540 for 12.45 so please let me have numbers by Tuesday afternoon, they have another party booked in at 1.30.

Just bring whatever refreshments you need for the walk

We plan to leave Alison's by 9.00 or to leave the West Kirby car park by 9.50, we have to fit in with the tides!!!!!!!
