The beautiful village of Tattenhall in Cheshire
David Thomson: June 2019
Come and join us for the next meeting of West Cheshire Rural U3A on Thursday 20th June at the Barbour Institute in Tattenhall.
Start time; 2.00pm
Our AGM will be followed by Jill Burton's talk
"The Erddig Thief Cook".
This is the story of Ellen Penketh, whose time as housekeeper at Erddig Hall, north Wales, ended in scandalous circumstances. Erddig, now a popular National Trust attraction near Wrexham, is often referred to as the Welsh Downton Abbey
