Travelling into Chester city centre is a 'Piece of Cake' this summer

There is so much to enjoy and explore in and around Chester this summer and with the city's regular Park and Ride service – you can leave the car at home, relax and avoid the parking queues.

As a special treat this summer, the Council and Debenhams Chester have joined together to offer customers a whopping 20% off their food and drink bills when they travel into the city using Park and Ride.

Debenhams has a sizzling summer menu with hot and cold meals available from 9.30am to 5pm Monday – Friday, 9am – 6pm Saturday and 11am – 5pm Sunday. Located on the 3rd floor the restaurant serves full traditional breakfasts, roast carvery dinners and a fantastic afternoon menu.

Also, the Tea Press café on the lower ground, in the historic original crypts, offers shoppers afternoon tea, or a choice from the patisserie and bakery .

Restaurant Manager, Mat Vickers said "We are delighted to be working with the Council and the brilliant Park and Ride service this summer. Customers can relax and enjoy 20% off food and drink in the restaurant or Tea Press Cafe when they show their valid Park and Ride ticket".

"It's a great choice to take the service into the city centre, helping to reduce the amount of cars and a hassle free way to travel to the Debenhams store, and other shops and venues throughout the city".

Cllr Karen Shore, Cabinet Member for Environment, Highways and Strategic Transport added "We are delighted to be working with Debenhams store in Chester to offer our passengers a great deal in their restaurant and the Tea Press café.

"Debenhams is an iconic store within the city, with the building itself dated from 1791. The Park and Ride service runs into the city centre every 12 minutes, seven days a week (15 minutes on Sundays) and adult tickets are only £2 return all day and children under 16 years travel free with a are paying adult ".
