Last year we shared the individual stories of many of our Tattenhall runners who were competing in the London Marathon – their particular journeys, their nominated charities, their training schedules and their combined achievements.

This year's London Marathon will be held on St George's Day, 23 April 2017. I suspect that many runners will liken themselves to St George and confront their own particular dragons!

We share with you again a particularly poignant local story and just in case you feel that you might wish to help Claire reach her target, then the details of her fundraising profile are below.

Claire Dickens is a Client Account Manager with Illingworth Seddon right here in the centre of Tattenhall and she will be running her first marathon on Sunday. She is training hard and successfully completed her first ever half marathon in Wrexham earlier this year, and in a pretty respectable time too!

Claire, like many, is running for 'Breast Cancer Now', an amazing charity which is close to her heart. She has kindly allowed us to share her truly remarkable story with you. To read Claire's story and to make a donation CLICK HERE.

So, if you are running the London Marathon on Sunday then please contact us with your results and details of your accomplishments so that we can share your stories too.
