The friendly fixtures cancelled in previous weeks became evident in a rusty batting performance from the first team who were bowled out for 63 at Wilmslow Road, the hosts winning by 9 wickets inside 13 overs for a maximum 25 point win.
The second team had a much tighter contest at the Flacca where Didsbury posted 182-6 off their 50 overs. A better batting performance had Tattenhall on target but the regular loss of wickets meant they fell short at 148 all out with only 2.2 overs of the game left.
As their first game in the Premier Division this was a spirited effort but there will need to be improvement across the board as the first team host Davenham on Saturday at 1pm. All supporters and guests are most welcome.
The cricket club website has been out of action owing to a service provider issue so we have reset with Pitchero who deal with many other sports clubs in the area.
