Performing this evening, Sunday 10th January, at 6.30pm, in St Alban's Church, Tattenhall.
In a change to the scheduled performance, these critically acclaimed musicians have stepped in at short notice to perform on behalf of the Tattenhall Music Society.
Leland Chen is a winner of the Yehudi Menuhin International Competition and has distinguished himself as a very exciting presence in the musical world. Following his enormous success in New York he gave a recital tour of over 60 cities to great critical acclaim. Leland left his native Taiwan
at the age of only 9 to take up a scholarship at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. Since then he has followed an amazing path through the most famous concert halls and has been the most successful soloist with many leading orchestras .... and now he will play for us in Tattenhall!!
Benjamin Powell has performed across the UK and throughout Europe and in 2010 he was the winner of the British Contemporary Piano Competition. He studied at the RNCM and is in much demand as a chamber musician. He regularly receives excellent reviews ... "Benjamin played with pure professionalism, his technical ability is flawless and his interpretation playful and the freedom in the music engaging without boundaries ...." We are so lucky that he is giving up his Sunday afternoon and evening to play for us.
