Day 6 Challenge
Recycle – ensure no food waste goes into the black bin. The recycled food waste goes to make methane gas which is used by CWAC to power 2000 homes.
In landfill it produces methane which goes into the atmosphere, which is far more damaging to the atmosphere than carbon dioxide.
Recycle clothes or appliances, get things mended if possible, or buy second hand/ vintage.
The clothing industry is a huge contributor of pollution and carbon dioxide as well as underpaying workers
CWAC has an awards winning recycling system, but it only does this if you recycle properly.
This photograph was recently published, it shows the decomposition times of all the litter that is not recycled.
