Tattenhall Online would like to re-produce a post written by the admin( Brenda SJB) of the facebook site Tattenhall News Update.
"I sent this to the press/media team at Cadent this morning on behalf of Tattenhall village.
I want to take this opportunity to send official thanks on behalf of the village of Tattenhall for Cadent's recent handling of the gas issue we had this week. Everyone – from the initial reporting and instructions via the emergency services number, to the community liaison team based at the Barbour Institute, to the engineers who worked tirelessly to restore service – is a tremendous credit to your company.
By engaging residents and setting up a community hub, you took what could have been a very negative situation and turned it into one that brought the community together. Handing out hot plates and heaters, and providing free meals to those without cooking facilities was very much appreciated. Restoring service in such a timely manner – and keeping the village apprised of your progress – was even more so.
I want to share with you some praise from social media:
This is just a sampling of the positive comments and there is not a negative one associated with Cadent, which is no small feat!
I would also like to take the opportunity to commend Lauren, specifically, in her role of community liaison. She was tremendously helpful and always had a ready smile – and an answer – despite working very long hours daily.
Thank you all again on behalf of Tattenhall Village. We appreciate your professionalism, dedication and friendliness. Hopefully we won't see a Cadent team in the village again for a very long time, but you have made a positive lasting impression on the whole community."
I think we can all agree with Brenda on this but Tattenhall Online would like to thank Brenda for keeping the village social media users uptodate throughout the issues. A very time consuming job done excellently.
You may have seen her final post on the matter.
“Final Cadent Post (I think)
The vans are all gone and everyone should have gotten a letter through their door. If somehow you were missed, there should be extra at Spar and/or the post office.
Cadent delivered a load of teddy bears to Sandy Bears today and have placed 13 around the village. They are yours for the taking, but maybe give it until tomorrow (before it starts to rain) so as many children as possible can enjoy them.
Thanks everyone for really pulling together in this. The people and the sense of community are what make Tattenhall special, and this has been another opportunity for that spirit to really shine.”
